I thought this was an excellent walkthrough of the development process from someone who has obviously been there. This is primarily directed to designers and not programmers, and is definitely not for someone who wants to write code natively.

Well written for those of us with some html coding experience. It definitely helped demystify the process from start to deployment.

+1 for the book, “The Web Designers Guide to iOS Apps.” I got it on my Kindle a month or two ago and it was very, very worth it. Mayakovski, NimbleKit Forum (April 13, 2011)

Well written, concise, and just enough information. G. Brett

I purchased this book to learn how to program with NimbleKit for the iPad and iPhone. Let’s just say that I am very impressed. I know HTML and JavaScript, so this book is a refresher on the code I already know. Yet with HTML5 there are definitely some new things to learn.

NimbleKit is used within Apple’s own Xcode programming software. Yes, you read that correctly.

What do I like about this book? It discusses everything from starting to program an application using NimbleKit to submitting it to the Apple iTunes App Store. Since purchasing this book I have created an application for a music group (being released in early March), and I am planning on releasing a lot of educational software in the near future. Since I am going to be a high school History teacher next year I have a lot of apps that I would like to make for my future students (and anyone else that appreciates educational apps).

If you are wondering how to make iOS apps using HTML and JavaScript get this book

If you are a web designer/developer, you know how important it is to move into the mobile market. With the help of this book, you can now take your web app and make it native. With the help of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and NimbleKit you are on your way to becoming the next big thing in the App Store. I totally recommend this book if you want to make iPhone apps without learning Objective-C M. Nichols
